The action packed, suspenseful police drama Hawaii Five-0 has people all over craving all new exciting episodes. Each episode has a guns blazing, fast paced, balls to the wall attitude but also portrays all aspects of relationships. Five-0 is an elite task for used for the major crimes on the big island of Hawaii. The task force consists of 4 agents Steve, Danny, Chin, and the only female Kono. They patrol the island with kick ass style and brute force.
In the most recent episode best friends and partners Steve and Danny are little league baseball coaches and Danny's daughter plays on the team. The umpire calls a strike on Danny's daughter and Steve gets in an altercation with him. This represents bad sportsmanship only as a message to be good sportsman. This also represents the competitive nature of males. Shown by Steve's reaction to the bad call. This game also represents the fact that kids just want to have fun and play the game not necessarily compete to win. Danny's daughter hits a home run and it represents joy and the satisfaction of hitting a home run. Also the team aspect of the game when they start cheering for her as she rounds the bases to home plate.
Kono is dating a Yakuza boss, Adam. They have recently been relocated to a jungle in china due to threats against their lives. Adam tries to get Kono to go back to Hawaii but she instead wants to go after the Yakuza to regain their freedom and peace of mind. This not only represents her go getter, relentless, combative side but also her love for Adam and more so the strength and bond between two individuals in love.

Steve, Chin, and Danny are trying to put together evidence to find a mysterious guy who has just arrived in Hawaii. They use their different skills to contribute to the investigation. This shows that they are different people. But also shows the strengths of working in a team atmosphere. This shows the audience the way that police and evidence analysts work and think.

At the end of the episode they have the championship game. Danny tells his daughter Grace to just have fun instead of trying to coach her like the previous game. Steve agrees with Danny and tells Grace that sportsmanship is the key to sports. This shows the aspect of everything is not a competition, even though its a championship. Also it shows the relationship between Danny and Grace and also Grace and Steve.
There is a supporting character who is a Texas ranger and he comes to Hawaii to find his daughter who has went missing. He tracks her down leaving a trail for Five-0. He ends up getting arrested by Five-0 and soon they are helping him find his daughter. When they finally find her she is hysterical, apologetic, and scared. This moment shows the love and willingness of a father to protect his children. Not only that but the strength of family as a whole and the over protection of daughters.

The Rangers daughter went to Hawaii with a guy. This guy got in some trouble with some bad people. To fix the deal he goes to meet the boss. He takes Amanda the rangers daughter with him. Amanda ends up getting kidnapped by the boss. This represents the ignorance and stupidity of young people. It also brings in the fact that young people make mistakes and its purpose is for people to subconsciously learn about the topic.

Steve and his girlfriend Kathryn have a discussion about her leaving the navy and taking a job with her ex as her boss. Kathryn didn’t take the job because she is happy with Steve and didn’t want to ruin what they had. Steve tells her to take the job because they are fine and he trusts her. This shows trust between people and the relationship that bit takes to have that much trust for one another. It also shows the love they have for each other.

Steve catches up with the man they now know is a Texas Ranger and arrests him as he is about to interrogate a young man. While Steve interrogates the Ranger, Danny gets to the kid by using the threat of letting the girls dad ask the boy where his daughter is instead of him. He uses this tactic to get to the boy and send fear down his spine. He also tries to get to him emotionally. This is used to break him down and easily extract the information.

Danny has a beautiful brand new matte black Camaro. Steve somehow always ends up driving though. Danny recognizes that Steve drives but never forces Steve to let him drive his own car. This shows Steve's characters personality. He is over controlling and over protective. But under his hard exterior he is actually very sensitive but rarely shows it. This also shows the trust and friendship between Steve and Danny by Danny trusting him with his car.

One of Steve's comrades stops buy to talk to him in person. He tells him that he offered his girlfriend a job running his Intel department for his private security firm. Steve was unaware of this. This represents respect between "brothers" or people who served together. Also it shows a respect for the friendship between Steve and his comrade.

At the end of the episode they have the championship little league baseball game. When Danny's daughter, Grace goes up to bat he tell her to just have fun instead of trying to coach her like last time.
This shows the true purpose of kids sports. Its just about having fun at that age not winning the game.
It also shows the Danny wants grace to be happy and not just be good at baseball.

The theme of the whole episode is based on relationships. Whether it be friendship, parenthood, or love. It show throughout the episode that they are trying to portray all aspects of relationships to connect with the audience on a higher level.
